There is no checkout on this website. You send a request, we talk, and money only moves once you have said yes.

Every apartment is furnished and equipped down to the corkscrew. There is no shopping trip on day one and no furniture to sell in June.

We meet you at the door, show you how everything works, and point you at the good bakery.

A contract in English
Plain, written, signed before the keys change hands. Your parents can read it too.

How it works

none of them is a payment.
There is no checkout on this website and there never will be. You send a request, we talk like people, and money only moves once you have seen everything and said yes.
Pick a home
Nine apartments, all a short walk from HMU. The price you read is the price you pay.

Tell us your dates. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
We answer, same day
Questions, a video walk-through, whatever you or your parents need.
Get the keys
We meet you at the door and hand them over. That is the whole process.
For the parents reading this
We have been
doing this a while.
Your son or daughter is about to sign for a flat in a city they have never seen, in a language they do not read yet. That is a reasonable thing to be nervous about.
So: there is no online payment here. No card form, no “reserve now”, no deposit taken by a website. You send a request, you get a real person, and if you want to walk through the apartment on a video call before anyone commits to anything, we will happily do that with you, in the evening, in your time zone.
The apartments are ours. We look after them ourselves, we hand over the keys ourselves, and we answer the phone when the boiler is being dramatic.

No. There is no online payment anywhere on homie hub. You send a request, we talk, and only when you are sure do we agree on the deposit and the rent, by bank transfer, directly with the owner.
No agency fee, no commission, no hidden extras. You rent straight from the person who owns and looks after the apartment.
Two months. Most of our guests stay for one Erasmus semester, and quite a few extend once they see the place.
Electricity, water, heating, cooling and Wi-Fi are included (electricity up to €50 per month, so nobody has to worry about the bill). Each apartment adds a small monthly building cost of €15 or €30 depending on the house, and that is written on every apartment page.
One month's rent, held as a deposit and returned at the end of your stay if everything is in the same shape you found it.
Nothing. Every apartment is fully furnished and fully equipped: bedsheets, pillows, blankets, plates, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans. Bring your clothes and your laptop.
Of course, and they are very welcome. We also do a live video walk-through on WhatsApp if you are still abroad. Same thing, no flights.
No smoking inside. Pets are generally not allowed, but ask us. Small ones are sometimes possible.
